Run by Chief Creative Officer Dorian and her daughter Zoe, Nic + Zoe describes itself as a "fiercely female" clothing brand. The company got its start in 2006, after Dorian noticed that women's clothing just wasn't measuring up. Whoever was designing it wasn't really considering real women. Women needed versatility: clothes that could be equal parts comfortable and stylish, with a whole lot of room for personalization (and a side of ‘where’d you get that’s). Armed with knitwear expertise and the support of her children, Nicholas and Zoë (yes, that Nic and Zoë), Dorian got to work to do something about it. These classic yet creative garments show those results.
A striped sweater designed to ease the summer/fall transition, but with wear-all-year potential. Not only does the interplay of stripes draw the eye, but each strand of yarn is a subtle blend of color to give added depth even within each stripe. With a placed stripe along the crew neck and a dropped shoulder shape. Added bonus: it's Mindfully Made, no waste knitwear: made with a technique that creates virtually zero fabric waste.
