Over 20 years ago, Marilyn Cobban started Blue Sky Clothing out of the back of a VW van in small-town Balfour BC. Her vision was to help women of all sizes and body types find beautiful styles in natural, breathable fabrics. Since then, Blue Sky has established nine locations in BC and a growing wholesale business. The company’s values are to be kind to the people who make the clothes, kind to the environment, and kind to all body types. As such this fair-trade company specializes in natural fibers, including bamboo, cotton, wool, cashmere, and modal in a range of sizes to fit and flatter most bodies.

The new Cissy Dress unites tailoring with free-flowing style. A collared neckline falls to a slightly shaped bust, then fabric widens to an A-line for swing and movement. The long buttoned front creates a vertical axis down the body, repeated in the long folds of fabric. With a hemline gracefully falling down to the lower calf, the dress stays modest and  fashionable.
