Over 20 years ago, Marilyn Cobban started Blue Sky Clothing out of the back of a VW van in small-town Balfour BC. Her vision was to help women of all sizes and body types find beautiful styles in natural, breathable fabrics. Since then, Blue Sky has established nine locations in BC and a growing wholesale business. The company’s values are to be kind to the people who make the clothes, kind to the environment, and kind to all body types. As such this fair-trade company specializes in natural fibers, including bamboo, cotton, wool, cashmere, and modal in a range of sizes to fit and flatter most bodies.

A perfect fit in the bodice is closely tailored, then enhanced, and made easy by a panel of self-fabric elastic across the back. An empire waist emphasizes the bust line and allows the fabric to fall easily down the body without clinging. Pockets in the side seams are invisible, adding functionality to this signature piece. The A-line of the skirt section makes the Shauna dress easy to wear for women of all shapes, and the classic shape brings a delicacy of line to a summer wardrobe.
