Gita and Mark Zeltzer opened a clothing boutique at Melrose Ave in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, and Gita noticed a gap in the casual clothing market, seeing it as lifeless. Seeking to change the narrative, she designed her first collection in 1996 (XCVI in Roman numerals), and continued to grow the brand with the assistance of designer Lilia Gorodnitski, crafting a line rooted in breathability, versatility, and thoughtful design, built on the belief that feeling good and looking good are inherently connected. The company continues to be run by the Zeltzer children, Alon and Daniela, who areanchored by the same unwavering principle: that style and comfort can and should always go hand in hand.
The Wearables collection is a curated selection of best-selling XCVI styles offered in seasonal colors and fabrics, brining newness to styles you already know and love. Instead of cycling through trends, Wearables focus on keeping the most popular XCVI styles in rotation, while updating them with seasonal colors and fabrications to keep things fresh and exciting.
