E.G. Smith’s comfy, substantial tights are noticeably warmer than nylon-based styles, and the fabric gives them a richer hue than typical opaque tights and a softer, legging-like feel. The structured toes and heels prevent bunching, and the waist stays put without sagging or digging into your waist (see images 9 and 10 for waistband). The fun space-dye color palettes add some kick to your legs!

Fabric content: 77% cotton, 20% nylon, 3% spandex

Care instructions: machine wash cold, hang dry

Sizing/Fit:

  • Two sizes, both fitting US women’s shoe size 6-10 (Belle’s Starr’s owner Sue wears them and she has narrow size 11 feet.) 
  • Small/Medium: the label (image 11) says they fit 5'0" to 5'6" or 99 to 155 lbs. While this size stretches to fit 45” hips and a 24” high, some folks with 38” hips found they were rather snug. Women with fuller legs/thighs may want to go up a size for comfort.
  • Medium/Tall: the label (image 11) says these fit 5'5" to 5'11" or 145 to 195 lbs. This size stretches to fit a 48” hip and 28” thigh, but that was the maximum. Those with long legs will probably like this size best, even if they're slimmer than the weight range.
  • The tight does not have a back gusset. However, while the seams may get thin in the rear and crotch, holes rarely form until after many, many wears/washes.
